Direct factory sourcing is not automatically the correct model for every equipment category. For custom crushers, conveyors, processing equipment or fabricated systems, direct access to the actual manufacturer may be more important. The buyer should understand who manufactures the equipment, who is contracting with the buyer, who receives payment, who provides the warranty, who supplies spare and wear parts, who provides technical support, who performs agreed factory testing and who is responsible for installation or commissioning where applicable. A factory may not be able to reproduce actual mine or plant operating conditions.
